Launch Ceremony of Global Finance Leaders Forum and Shanghai Finance Forum 2018 >> More

The launch ceremony of the Global Finance Leaders Forum (GFLF) and the 2018 Shanghai Finance Forum have taken place on Saturday 15th December 2018 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Xuhui campus).

Leading global scholars, political officials and industry movers and shakers will grace the stage at this launch conference for the Global Finance Leaders Forum. The theme “Openness and Integration: Connecting China’s Finance Industry to the World” will underpin the discussion and debate. Luminaries who will be attending include Tu Guangshao, former Vice Chairman and President, China Investment Corporation; Li Jiange, President, Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation; Howard Davies, Chairman, Royal Bank of Scotland, Stanley Fischer, Former Vice Chairman, Federal Reserve Board of Governors and Former Governor, Bank of Israel; Geoffrey Garrett, Dean, Wharton School of Business; Bengt Holmstrom, 2016 Nobel laureate in economics; and Thomas Sargent, 2011 Nobel laureate in economics; University of Pennsylvania.

In order to ensure GFLF’s professionalism, efficiency and sustainability, GFLF invites prestigious scholars, experts and industry leaders from the global financial community to form a leadership team, which gathers top-class wisdom to steer GFLF’s future journey. In order to meet market needs and drive industry evolution, GFLF sets up a number of specialized clubs,covering all sectors of finance. As the foundation and support of the Forum, these clubs will facilitate in-depth communication and collaboration. Relying on the China Academy of Financial Research, GFLF will also engage in research on major issues facing the development and internationalization of the industry, provide solutions, incubate businesses and foster talents. Moreover, the standing management and operation teams will offer premium and professional services to GFLF.
